The Asset specialist is responsible for preparing a crude batch plan and discussing it with the refinery, resolving all ad-hock problems in order to minimize value loss for VARO and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the Fuel Value Chain. Furthermore, another objective is to maximize commercial value to the company by performing ad-hoc economic analysis and producing break-evens for feedstock processing, component blending and product manufacturing options arising from the dynamics of the oil trading market. The ability to evaluate economic impact of different trading options using the refinery linear program (LP) and challenge refinery constraints within a tight deadline is also a core function.
